Rainbow Quilt.
I made this with colour swatches and green cotton material.
Make sure everything is ironed well first.
Instructions: Cut your swatches into strips.  Sew all strips together in the sequence you want (light to dark).  Cut strips to create lengths.  Unpick at a different colour each length and sew that to the bottom of that section.  Sew the lengths to a solid colour (here it is green).  Add a boarder all around in the same colour.  Add filling and backing the same size as the front.  Quilt all the layers together.  Sew the edging around the entire quilt only on one side. Fold the edging to the back covering the raw edges and hand sew all around.

Make large numbers from cardboard.  Glue newspaper all over to hold it together, then use crepe paper or paint to decorate.

Check out what I made yesterday for an expecting mum with a few baby products and 2 pieces of ribbon. Cute.

Today I'm going to post some inspirational cooking for you.  It's so easy to do.  Start with 3 vanilla or butter-cake cake mixes.  Make the cake mixture as per recipe, then half each.  (you will need six bowls).  Colour each portion a different rainbow colour: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.  Place one colour only in lined and greased cake tin.  You will only need to cook it for 8 minutes, cool slightly before placing on a wire rake.  Clean and respray, place another colour in the tin and cook.  Repeat for all colours.  Allow all to cool.  Using packaged ready made icing, slightly spread each cake with icing.  Place one on top of each other in a rainbow sequence then completely cover outside the entire cake with icing. Option: decorate with lollies such as smarties, M & M's or what ever your favourite sweet is.
Check out other cakes I have made on Instagram.
